The GTWY double mast lift is the lightest way to get a person and their tools up to twelve metres inside a building. It is pushed by hand on castors, braced with four screw outriggers, and the two aluminium masts raise the platform vertically. Because the whole machine is built from aluminium alloy rather than steel, an 8 m unit weighs 490 kg and a 14 m unit weighs 700 kg, which is light enough to move between floors in a goods lift and gentle enough for mezzanine floors.
What the GTWY double mast lift is
Two vertical masts carry the platform on a chain drive, with a hydraulic cylinder providing the force. The base spreads on four screw outriggers before the platform is raised, and the operator controls the lift from the platform as well as from the base, so a single person can set up, lift, work and lower without help.
- Platform heights from 6 m to 14 m, which means working heights from 7.7 m to 15.7 m.
- Built from 6.5 mm high-strength aluminium profile, so the machine stays light and does not mark or overload floors.
- Four screw outriggers, heat treated and zinc plated, spread the base to as much as 2430 x 2200 mm at full height.
- Two control positions, on the platform and at the base, both on 24 V control voltage.
- AC 220 V as standard, 24 V battery optional, with a 24 V / 15 A smart charger for sites without a socket.
- Emergency descent and an adjustable lowering speed as standard.

All six models share the same 200 kg rated load, the same 60 mm base clearance and the same 220 V supply, and all move by hand. The platform grows with the height, from 1120 x 600 mm on the 6 m and 8 m units to 1480 x 600 mm on the 12 m and 14 m units.

For work up to about eight metres in a tight space, a single mast lift is lighter and easier to move. From nine metres upwards the double mast carries the platform better, deflects less at full height and gives a wider deck, which is why the taller models in this range are all double mast machines.

It is designed for indoor use on firm, level ground, and the outriggers must be fully extended and loaded before anyone climbs up. Where the ground is uneven or the machine has to travel over rough surfaces, a self-propelled mast lift or a scissor lift is the more suitable machine.

Frequently asked questions
Does the lift need to be plugged in to work?
No. The standard machine runs on 220 V, and a 24 V / 80 Ah maintenance-free battery with a 24 V / 15 A charger is available as an option, which lets the lift work away from a socket. The DC versions use a 24 V / 0.8 kW motor up to 9 m and a 24 V / 2.2 kW motor on the taller models.
Can one person set it up and use it?
Yes. The machine is moved by hand on castors, the four outriggers are wound down by hand, and the platform controls let the operator raise, position and lower the lift without a second person on the ground. Two control positions are fitted as standard, one on the platform and one at the base.
What is the difference between platform height and working height?
Platform height is the height of the platform floor, and working height adds roughly 1.7 m for a person standing on it. So the GTWY8-200, with an 8 m platform height, gives about 9.7 m of working height, and the GTWY14-200 gives about 15.7 m.
